Hello,

My name is Emma Keller and I am a rising fourth-year double-majoring in English and Youth & Social Innovation. I'm from Hampton, Virginia and on-Grounds I'm the VP of Fourth Year Trustees, a writer for IRIS Magazine, and a Student Ambassador for the School of Education and Human Development.

I am biracial myself and though my identity is very important to me, my motivations for teaching this course are to start conversations that are much bigger than me and my experiences. I firmly believe that discussions about race, racism, and identity development must be had much more often at our University and I hope to provide a safe space for those conversations in teaching this course.

Please visit the course syllabus for an in-depth description and specifics on course content!
