What's a Cav-Ed Seminar?

From https://www.uvastudco.com/cav-ed

"CavEd, listed as “Student-Initiated Courses” on SIS, allows students to teach CR/NC courses to their peers. The goal of the program is to give students the opportunity to take charge of their academic experiences and allow them to share their passions outside of the normal curriculum.

The program is run by the Academic Affairs Committee of Student Council. Committee members review all CavEd applications and make formal recommendations to the interdisciplinary studies (INST) faculty."

The faculty sponsor for this course is Professor Melissa Levy, Director of the Youth & Social Innovation Program. The final grades for this course as well as the individual assignments will be awarded either as  "meets expectations" or "does not meet expectations yet" (with an opportunity for revision.

More details on the grading policy are on the syllabus!
