You found me!
My name's Emma. I'm 19 years old and a third-year at the University of Virginia double-majoring in English and Youth & Social Innovation, a program in our School of Education. I'm a columnist for our school newspaper, The Cavalier Daily and the Vice President for this year's Third Year Council. But that's enough of the formal introductions.
I created this site as a virtual home for the things I write, whether for courses I'm enrolled in, for the publications I am part of, or just for myself.
I love discovering new music and knitting my jumbled thoughts and feelings into words. I am a biracial Black woman, and my experiences with race have largely shaped the person I am today. I'm constantly learning what it means to be an amplifier of the voices and stories of the underrepresented around me.
I'm so glad that you've landed upon this site and that you're taking the time to check out my work.
Thank you for being here.
